2 Grizzlies selected to All-Region 16 Team

Two members of the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Basketball team earned all-region honors for NJCAA Region 16.

They are sophomore guard Kyle Germany, Detroit, Michigan, and sophomore forward Carlos Paul III, Southfield, Michigan. Germany earned first team honors, while Paul was selected to the second team.

"I'm very proud of Kyle and Carlos," Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Jared Phay said. "They both showed up to work hard every day. It's nice to see them rewarded."

Germany led the Grizzlies' scoring this season with 375 points, 12.5 points per game, overall. He shot 39.5% from the field, 31.1% from 3-point range and 75.3% from the free throw line. He also had 86 assists and 32 steals this past season.

Paul was second on the team in scoring with 335 points, 10.8 points per game, overall. He shot 48.1% from the field, 36.4% from 3-point range and 63.4% from the charity stripe. He also had 145 rebounds, 4.7 rebounds, a game.

"Both of them were great in our community and on campus, and both will be missed," Phay said.
