Grizzly Volleyball players receive awards at annual sports banquet

Six members of the 2018 Grizzly Volleyball team at Missouri State University-West Plains received individual awards during the annual Grizzly Sports Banquet Thursday evening, April 11, at the West Plains Civic Center's Magnolia Room.

Julia Dunning, Queensland, Australia, received first team Missouri Community College Athletic Conference (MCCAC) All-Conference and NJCAA All-Region 16 honors and the assists award (1,367 total assists; 10.44 assists per set).

Kamryn Artale, Springfield, received second team NJCAA All-Region 16 honors and awards for digs (572 total digs; 4.37 digs per set), service reception (2.39 rating; 790 attempts) and the Marvin Wheeler Academic Excellence Award.

Kelly Wiedemann, West Plains, received first team MCCAC All-Conference and NJCAA All-Region 16 awards, second team NJCAA All-American award, and an award for kills (390 total kills; 1,003 attempts; 2.98 kills per set; .253 hitting percentage).

Yileen Ng He, Colon, Panama, received the blocking award (135 total blocks; 32 solo blocks; 103 assisted blocks; 1.09 blocks per set).

Tatjana Trifkovic, Belgrade, Serbia, received second team MCCAC All-Conference and NJCAA All-Region 16 honors, the Marvin Wheeler Academic Excellence Award, and the Grizzly Award for epitomizing the Grizzly Spirit.

Camilly Cristiny, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, received second team MCCAC All-Confrence and first team NJCAA All-Region 16 honors and the Newcomer of the Year Award.
