Grizzly Volleyball player signs with Tennessee university
West Plains, Mo. – Yileen Ng He, a sophomore on the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team, has found her next volleyball home.
The 6-foot middle attacker from Colon, Panama, recently signed paperwork to join the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Railsplitters in Harrogate, Tennessee. The school competes at the NCAA Division II level.
"I'm proud of NG for how far she has come over the past two years," Grizzly Volleyball Head Coach Paula Wiedemann said. "She made a difference for us last season and has learned a lot of things along the way.
"We look forward to seeing her continue to grow as a player at LMU," Wiedemann added. "We are very excited to see what she does in this next step of her athletic and academic career."
He led the Grizzlies in blocking this past season with 135, including 32 solo blocks. She also had 131 kills, 31 digs and 214.5 points earned.
"I feel very good about what she will be able to do, both athletically and academically, and hope she continues to show what being a Grizzly is all about," Wiedemann said.
