Grizzly Volleyball adds outside hitter for 2020 season

The Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team has added an outside hitter for the 2020 season.

Head Coach Paula Wiedemann announced today that Angie Hardison, Houston, Texas signed a national letter of intent to play for the Grizzlies beginning next fall.

"We are excited to add Angie to our Grizzly Volleyball family," Wiedemann said. "She has size, power and can be versatile for us on the court. She can be a big force to try to deal with at the net. She reminds me of former Grizzly Nella Ioramo, and we are excited to watch Angie develop as a player."

The 6-foot, 1-inch product from Mayde Creek High School earned first team all-district honors her junior and senior seasons. She also receive academic all-district honors in 2018 and 2019 and was named offensive MVP and team captain both seasons.

"Her ability to become a six-rotation, attack-from-anywhere force is something we would all like to see happen," Wiedemann said. "We are excited to see what ceilings she can push through."
