Grizzly Volleyball adds libero for 2020 season

The Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team has added a libero for the 2020 season.

Head Coach Paula Wiedemann announced today that Macey Griffin, Wylie, Texas, signed a national letter of intent to play for the Grizzlies beginning next fall.

"We are very excited to add Macey to our Grizzly Volleyball family," Wiedemann said. "She caught our attention with her ability to play the game. The more we were around her, it was obvious she is a competitor."

The 5-foot, 6-inch product from Wylie East High School is a two-time academic all-district honoree and a two-time Class 5A Region II District 10 third team honoree. She served as the Raiders' team captain and earned the team's defensive MVP award twice.

"She plays hard and makes those around her better. She does really good things passing and playing defense and is quick to the ball," Wiedemann said. "We look forward to her continuing to grow as a player."
