Grizzly Volleyball standout Priscilla Crowell signs with Randall University

Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball standout Priscilla Crowell join the Randall University volleyball team in Moore, Oklahoma, this fall.

The 5-foot, 4-inch libero/defensive specialist from Houston, Texas, recently signed a letter of intent to play for the Saints, which compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

"I'm proud and really excited for Priscilla," Grizzly Volleyball Head Coach Paula Wiedemann said. "She has worked through a lot of difficult times in her life and has continued to work toward her goals of playing and getting her degree. She works hard, always has a team first attitude and makes those around her better.

Although Crowell only played one season for the Grizzlies, she took advantage of the opportunities the university and the volleyball program offered, Wiedemann said.

"I have a good club coaching friend who called me about her and told me about the type of person and player she was. It was obvious in that conversation that Priscilla was someone who needed an opportunity to grow as a student and as an athlete and would make the most of it," Wiedemann said.

"She came in with one year of eligibility and made the most of the opportunity she had in front of her. She had some big moments for the team when she was on the floor, which made a difference in how we finished in the region toward the end of the season. Her improvement in a short amount of time here is something she will be able to build on moving forward," the coach added.

Crowell played in 16 games for the Grizzlies last season. She recorded 47 digs and five aces during her time on the court.

"I'm really happy for her," Wiedemann said. "It will be fun following her for the next two years as a Saint. I feel good about what she will be able to do for her team, both athletically and academically, and know she will continue to show what being a Grizzly is all about."
