Awards presented to Grizzly eSports team members at Grizzly Sports Banquet

Several members of the Grizzly eSports team received awards at the Grizzly Sports Banquet May 9 hosted by Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) at the West Plains Civic Center.

Dustin Johnson, Ava, was recognized for taking second place in the Mario Kart Open Championship during the 2022 fall season.

Jasmine Williams, West Plains, received Team Leader of the Year Award.

Zahren Whited, West Plains, earned the NJCAAE All-Academic Award.

Joshua Burgess, West Plains, earned the NJCAAE All-Academic Award and was recognized for placing second in the Call of Duty: 4 vs. 4 Open Championship during the 2023 spring season

Spencer Spreutels, Koshkonong, earned the NJCAAE All-Academic Award and Shoutcaster of the Year Award, and was recognized for placing second in the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Invitational Championship during the 2023 spring season.

William Cole, Thornfield, was recognized for placing second in the Call of Duty: 4 vs. 4 Open Championship during the 2023 spring season.

Brock DeWeese, West Plains, was recognized for placing second in the Call of Duty: 4 vs. 4 Open Championship during the 2023 spring season and for placing second in the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Invitational Championship during the 2023 spring season. He also was named Tactician of the Year.

Jackson Williams, Cabool, was recognized for placing second in the Call of Duty: 4 vs. 4 Open Championship during the 2023 spring season and received the Variety Player of the Year Award.

Samuel Grills, West Plains, was recognized for placing second in the Call of Duty: 4 vs. 4 Open Championship during the 2023 spring season.
