Game Recap: MSU WP vs Moberly

Moberly Area Community College (MACC) emerged victorious in their basketball game against Missouri State University - West Plains (MSU-WP) on January 20, 2024. The final score was 75-59 in favor of MACC.

The game started off with a close first half, with MACC leading by only two points at halftime (36-34). However, MACC controlled the second half, outscoring MSU-WP by 14 points (39-25) to secure the win.

For the Grizzlies, Kyle Germany was the leading scorer with 23 points, including 4 three-pointers. Carlos Paul III also had a solid game, scoring 12 points and grabbing 4 rebounds. Trayon Grant-Foster added 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. 

In terms of team statistics, MACC had a higher shooting percentage, making 35.6% of their field goals compared to MSU-WP's 34.0%. MACC also had a better three-point shooting percentage, making 35.3% of their attempts compared to MSU-WP's 23.5%. Rebounding was evenly matched, with MACC and MSU-WP both grabbing 46 rebounds. MACC had more assists, with 18 compared to MSU-WP's 11. However, MSU-WP had more turnovers, committing 22 compared to MACC's 11.

MSU - WP falls to 8-11 on the season and will look to bounce back Wednesday, January 24th when they host #2 Mineral Area.
