Grizzly Softball picks up 2 wins against Pioneers Tues.

The Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Softball team took both games of a double header against North Arkansas College, Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Hilburn Sports Complex in West Plains.

The Grizzlies won the first game 8-4 and the second game 8-0. They are 6-0 on the season.

"We struggled the first game defensively with four errors, but I was proud of how the girls responded in the second game and cleaned up the defense," Grizzly Softball Head Coach Don Long said.

First game results

The North Arkansas Pioneers got off to a strong start, scoring 2 runs in the first inning, but Grizzlies quickly responded with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning.

The game remained close until the fourth inning when the Grizzlies scored 3 runs, taking the lead. They added to their lead with runs in the fifth and sixth innings, securing the win.
